It is important to have heroes to look up to and one of my main is marketing wizard Jay Abraham.

The success of marketing wizard Jay Abraham is based on simple but powerful ideas which I will explain below:

1 The strategy of preeminence – the welfare of your client or customer must come first and must be reflected in everything you do. Once you accept the strategy of preeminence then you realise that you have to educate your customers about all the good things that you can do for them. You now owe it to your clients to make sure that they know all the great things you can do for them and that they understand the benefits.

2 Optimisation and upside leverage – Jay Abraham has taken the continuous improvement ideas from the Total Quality movement of Dr Deming and applied them to marketing to improve results by hundreds of percent

3 Funnel Vision v Tunnel Vision – many industries are characterised by firms all competing in the same way which Jay Abraham calls Tunnel Vision. They don’t see how other industries find new customers and then persuade the customer to become loyal and continue to buy regularly. But Jay Abraham recommends that you use Funnel Vision. 4 The three ways to grow a business. You may think that there are many different ways to grow a business but Jay Abraham has boiled it down to just three generic ways to grow your sales.
a) Increase the number of customers
b) Increase the average value of each purchase
c) Increase the number of times they buy from you.

Don’t be deceived by how simple this powerful model is. Take the time to look at your business and map out your business in terms of customers, average transaction values and the number of transactions per customer. Then look at ways that you can increase the last two factors in particular. Jay Abraham has shown that time after time, there are massive profits hidden in the customer bases of his clients.

5 The Power Parthenon is a technique to create and integrate multiple methods of finding new customers. Each technique reinforces the other and protects you from any problems if you just use one main method of attracting customers and new leads.
