Bethel, Maine and the Gould Academy are the location of the camp for the talented artists of the future. If you child, from the ages of 8 – 15, has a talent that they want to expand then the Bethel Camp for the Arts may be just the right setting for them.

Focusing on a large number of different types of art they can explore those they haven’t tried before as well as expand their knowledge of those things they enjoy. There are programs in visual arts, theater, dance, technology, special interests such as cooking, science or animal care and individual sports for them to participate in with other kids.

They will be well fed and well supervised as they enjoy their experience. And parents, you can stay in touch with them through snail mail or email (which will be printed off and given to the kids) but unless they are part of the 4 week program they will not be making phone calls. Those there for 4 weeks will be able to call home one time. This helps get the kids focused on the arts and not homesickness. No gameboys, Ipods or etc. are allowed during this time. It is time for creative thought.
