The Emlen Physick Estate is open for tours year round with each one taking about 1 1/4 hours to complete. Then you are welcomed to the Twining Tearoom where you can have a beverage and light lunch to conclude a wonderful adventure into the past.

This is one of the New Jersey tourism spots that doesn’t make the headlines but is certainly worth seeing. The home was finished in 1879 in the true Victorian “Stick Style” architectural mode. It has been restored to its original condition and showcases how the life of a wealthy landowner lived in the time.

The cost of the tour is $7 per adult and $3.50 for children from 3-11. Not only is the house an interesting tour but the gardens and the Carriage House add to the flavor of the experience.
