I’d like to speak about my grandfather. He’s a well –honored man in Toronto , I think. I’ve got memories concerning him starting from my early childhood. At that time I was usually used to spend my summer holidays somewhere in the north together with my grandfather. I don’t care as for accurate coordinates of my location. During this moment it seems to me that my grandfather is a real dangerous pirate. His manner of behavior and speech can easily point out that he entirely belongs to the sea. But it’s true, I should stress. The matter is that many years ago he was a skipper. He served on a Canadian whaler “Toronto”. So he’s a real sailor. And I’m really proud that my grandfather is a real sailor. So real that I’m able to hold his hand and look into his green eyes. He usually told my great variety of sea stories after our voyage on a sledge, pulling by dogs. I especially like driving a sledge. Grandfather’s dogs are always obedient and lovely creatures.

As I have already told he tells me stories about his service of skipper on “Toronto”. Grandfather often tells me about thrilling hunting on sea whales in the northern part of Canada. Thank to his stories I‘ve got a whole conception of wild sea life. I’ve got acquainted with the severe Arctic Ocean and the northern part of the Atlantic ocean. This has enriched my knowledge about the Earth, I should say.

Nut now I’m going to prepare for my grandfather’s anniversary. This anniversary commemorates that 40 years passed from his giving up of “Toronto”. S I should find a proper anniversary gift for him. I’m not going to think too long about choosing an appropriate anniversary gift for my grandfather. I’ve just decided to present him a harpoon which is used to hunt for whales. I think he’ll like it. This harpoon will be decorated with silver. I’m proud that I’m able to present him such a valuable anniversary gift.
