This history of fashion is an interesting road to walk down. Take a closer look in my corner to see what I see. It’s art that you wear. Methods of putting the cloth together are always different. Fashion designers are always watched to see what kinds of styles they will be putting out for the season. Designer clothing can be found in films, magazines and is on many talk shows.

There is high fashion clothing and good fashion clothing. You can make your own designs with a dress making pattern. The high fashion clothing comes with an extremely high price tag and many of these cloths are worn just once and discarded. Good fashion clothing doesn’t necessary have a designer label attached to it, it is a useful piece of clothing that looks nice.

You can have a piece of clothing that hugs the body or loosely fitted with something tied around it. That is fashion style. Buttons can go up the back or down on the side. Pants can be plain or have designs on them. Outfits can hug the body or drape the body.

Excellent taste comes from a variety of time periods we live in. Some skirts are short, others are long. Unusual fabrics and colors go into making all kinds of styles. Some of the older fashions come back, while others like to start a new trend. Other pieces of clothing just stay within the frames of time.

A good sense of style can be developed by looking at different magazines, getting ideas of what’s in and what’s out. Going to museums is always a good thing to do as well.

What are other people wearing? You can see the trends in various fashion magazines or hop online to see what the current trends are. The subject matter of what is in style is always a hot topic. Ads can be a great place to spot the trends of certain styles too.

When you see something of good style make a note of how you would change the fashion yourself into something different. Get a sewing machine and rip apart some of your clothing and make it into a new piece. Put some lining in a coat or a patch on a pair of jeans.

There are some many different places you can get fashion ideas from. Is it raining outside or snowing? This can give you ideas. Ideas can come from watching children play in the park, or music that you hear over the radio that stirs up your creative side. You can always find style in the basic time frame we live in. Things change over time. Certain pieces come back and others are gone forever. That is my take on the history of fashion.
