The Airsoft Gun Types

There are 3 models of airsoft guns available, some low quality and of course the high end models, all of which use different mechanisms to make the guns work.

Spring Powered Airsoft Guns

Electric Models

Electric airsoft guns, otherwise known as AEG, use electricity to power a motor that shoots out the plastic BB bullets. They require batteries, usually 4 of the AAA type, or some come with rechargeable batteries. They are very popular, especially with advanced hobbyists because they can fire up to a 1000 rounds per minute.

These models are the most durable and easiest to use. One of the reasons that they are so popular is they provide for very fast reloads of BB’s and super quick shots. They are the most realistic models, staying true to actual military grade weapons. The AK-47 is one popular model of electric airsoft gun, which has both auto and semi-auto firing capability.
