Terms Used For Roulette Bets

All games have their own slang, roulette is no exception. It can be hard to follow a conversation about the game if you aren’t up to date with all of the terms. In roulette there are terms that are related to making bets, here are some examples.

One can tell whether the bet being made is inside or outside instantly if they know the lingo, here are some terms that instantly indicate in outside bet. Here is a common outside bet that give an almost 50% chance to win, it is called either “high” or “low”, betting “high” means that your bet depends on whether or not the ball lands on numbers 19-36, betting “low” means that your bed depends on the ball landing on numbers 1-18.

More bets that offer near 50% odds are “black” or “red”, betting “black” meaning that the ball will rest on a black slot, and “red” that the ball will rest on a red slot. “Even” or “odd” are the last of the 50% outside bets, “even” means you are betting that the ball lands on an even number and “odd” means that you are betting that the ball lands on an odd number.

The bets that indicate an inside bet are less obvious, here are some examples. Inside bets make it possible for you to bet on individual numbers, the odds are heavily against you but the payout is very high, this bet is called the “single” for example if you want to bet on the number three than your bet would be “single three”. Betting on a single number are sometimes called “straight bets”. It is possible to bet on what is called a “square” or a “quarter” it means that if the ball lands on four numbers that are right next to each other you win. If you want to bet on something a little riskier than you can always bet on just two numbers that are next to each other, this is called the “split bet”

Those are just some examples of the terms people use when it comes to roulette, however playing online roulette simplifies to whole process since you don’t have to deal with memorizing all of the lingo.
