Healthy Vegan Recipes – How Perfectly Come Up With Vegan Recipes

I like to come up with healthy vegan recipes, but I couldn’t say that I grew up with a special interest in health, cooking nutrition. The truth is, it would rather be funny if my mother sees me now, eager to try eating everything that can be healthy for me – I was rather a picky eater when I was young.

Despite my protests, she did manage to set a solid foundation for me, and I have her to thank for a lot of my inner nutritional wisdom. I remember asking her one afternoon if I could have a banana as a snack, and being ecstatic when she agreed. Although growing up I was never fully vegan, my mom was always making healthy recipes for dinner, and showed me the basics of healthy vegan recipes.

I can say that I have never been one to really enjoy eating at restaurants. I have always preferred to make healthy simple meals at home, so that I know how my food was prepared and also what went into it. The more I learn about the way foods are prepared even before they get to the store, the more I want to create healthy vegan meals at home!

Phil swapped places with me as the head chef in our kitchen for a couple of times, but it was after we decided to eliminate processed foods, eggs, meat and dairy got me started on a new inspiration. The failure to rely on those influential flavors has made me realize the power of simplicity and unleashed the natural flavors of whole foods. As we don’t eat a 100% raw diet anymore, the resourcefulness needed to prepare raw vegan recipes has opened new cooking possibilities in my kitchen.

Knowing more about cooking guided me naturally to begin learning about nutrition and how to create healthy vegan recipes, which are not only delectable, but goes another level of understanding the simple fact that the foods we eat are intended to nourish our bodies and generate the energy we need through life.

Phil and I have individually explored a lot of various approaches to nutrition – vegetarian and vegan diets, western scientific nutrition, ayurvedic approaches, detoxification and raw food programs, gluten free recipes, and Chinese traditional practices, which is based on thousands of years of cultural learning.

Many of the most affluent cultures around the globe are based on their cuisine – Indian, Chinese, Italian, and French. There is also an increasing awareness that there is more to food that its appearance. Cultural and scientific knowledge has both played a significant role in nutrition, and each of the various approaches and cultures have significant practices to be taken into consideration.

I believe the key is to start listening to your body. Whereas, I certainly think there are valid facts about cooking and nutrition, my philosophy in general is that, there is no absolute truth for each person. It takes an awareness of your health and experimentation with your body health to create a balance, which needs continual changes as you move along with your life.

My goal is to give you a new perspective, and help you find that awareness to reconnect with the energy of food – all while having a lot of fun in the kitchen making easy and delicious vegan recipes.
